A few months after our Manchester site took delivery of a fleet of new trucks, it was decided to personalise the fleet by giving the tractor units names!

It was an idea the whole team got behind with lots of suggestions being made from TV characters to film names.

After much discussion and deliberation, the final four were decided –

Clarkey – In recognition of Stuart Clarke, their well-respected site Managing Director

Hansa  - In recognition of Hansa Mehta one of two longest serving employees who has been with the business for 36 years

Deerster – In recognition of Mark Deer, the other longest serving employee who has been with the business for 33 years

The Bolton Wanderer– In recognition of the satellite site located in Bolton and the Bolton fans who work there.

Chris Brown, Operations Manager, Boxes and Packaging (Manchester) commented; “We ended up with about thirty different suggestions from our team at both Bredbury and Bolton including Trucky McTruck Face which I must admit I was very tempted by!

“Stuart was less than certain about the Bolton name given his allegiance to Stockport County (just joking!) and the other three names just seemed like a great idea and personal to our team.

“Hansa commented how could she possibly consider retiring from a company that does this for their employees, so it looks like Hansa will add on a few more years yet to her 36 years of service!”

The trucks will deliver packaging solutions manufactured at both sites across the Northwest and beyond.
