Display Pack for Seed Shaker

Each component of the original range was assessed and a new set of design solutions presented to the client which enhanced brand visibility and reduced annual costs. We moved away from four colour litho laminated displays, modernised the styles and changed the types of corrugated materials we used. We adopted a two colour flexo print which was possible due to changing the structural design of the display. The print was applied to the shelf ready packaging, interlocking stacking trays and a generic display unit all of which fitted a standard 600mm x 400mm footprint. The entire range is manufactured in house. We worked closely with our printing stereo manufacturer to ensure the large artwork file (600MB) would deliver the desired wood effect at a fraction of the previous cost. The five different cases and trays could be printed with two sets of stereos, reducing origination costs and were manufactured on a machine with increased production speeds removing the necessity for slower hand gluing processes, contributing to an overall cost reduction for the customer.
Our approach to this challenging brief ensured each element was executed with skill and professionalism resulting in a new product range that was entirely fit for purpose, making it easy to pack, easy to assemble in store and which gave excellent brand visibility. A revised approach to print, and the utilisation of new perforation rules to give cleaner tear lines enhanced the visual appeal and practicality of the product. The combination of structural design and new print delivered a prominent display which the customer believes now sets them apart from any other competitor offering in the horticulture sector. Rather than using bright colours to promote products the chosen graphics enabled the customer to create an English garden potting shed theme for their product range. Due to customer satisfaction plans are already in place for the next Autumn and Spring ranges.
